Flaran Abbey
Near the 13th-century fortified town of Valence-sur-Baïse, Flaran Abbey was founded in 1151 in the Baïse Valley.
Nestled within a park, the monastic buildings and gardens offer a perfect illustration of a 12th-century Cistercian complex, remodeled up until the 18th century.
A listed historical monument, Flaran Abbey houses the exceptional "Simonov" collection, featuring around one hundred works from the 17th to the 20th centuries: Ronda, Monet, Steer, Courbet, and more.
The fortified enclosure of Larressigle
Immerse yourself in the history of Gascony and discover Larressingle, one of the most beautiful and smallest fortified villages in France. Its ramparts, curtain walls, crenellated towers, moat, entrance gate, 13th-century castle, 12th-century fortified church, and medieval houses built against the walls—the village welcomes you as it was in the 16th century.
The village of Fourcès
Ranked among the most beautiful villages in France, Fourcès, an atypical village in the Gers region, will delight all your senses!
This village captivates with its beauty and serenity.
Encircled by a green ribbon of the Auzoue, a pretty river teeming with fish, Fourcès unfolds like a living history book.
The circular square occupies the site of the castle mound where the original castle was built, destroyed in the 15th century.
